Multiversal:
Works by ADM Faculty
The third exhibition in a series celebrating creativity emerging from the NTU School of Art, Design and Media, Multiversal: Works by ADM Faculty explores the art of world-building in film and animation, offering a view at the creation of expansive, multi-dimensional universes. The exhibition shows how narrative and visual design converge to construct alternate realities, dimensions and dreamscapes, each with its own distinct logic, history and aesthetics.
Artists exploring the construction of alternative realms use a diverse range of visual language, styles and symbolism to suggest the unseen, the speculative and the infinite. From hand-crafted landscapes to immersive realms shaped by CGI, Multiversal invites viewers to experience the boundless imagination and layered storytelling behind captivating fictional worlds in art-making.
While foregrounding Media Art practitioners from ADM, the exhibition also expands its scope through selected works in sculpture and photography, extending the dialogue of world-building across disciplines. Presented as part of ADM’s 20th anniversary celebrations, Multiversal offers a focused reflection on how artists and storytellers imagine and construct other worlds, and what those worlds say about our own.
